Dear Tiandra, here some literary news in regard with the publication on the "Chef Jana" You Tube channel. Actually, in regard with the feline delicacies I recollect a very funny story! In USSR there was the chronic deficit of very many products. My Grandpa Yefim was going on the business trips to Moscow. And there downtown He saw a huge queue and took the place in it... Some people absolutely shamelessly were jumping the queue... Grandpa did wait very patiently in line for something... for something, what He actually did not quite realized what it was, as there was no chance to get to the counter. Probably, the snake like queue was starting outside and ending inside the shop. It was, possibly, rumored, that it was something canned and edible and tasty... And rare! The interesting luring deficit item!.. ...In a nut shell: Opa patiently waited his turn, purchased finally with jubilation several tins of something very beautifully looking. And vivaciously, victoriously returned back home to Tula! Only later, upon the closer examination, it was discovered, that these transpired to be the feline canned victuals!!! I don't remember, actually, we ate them, or not... But every in this huge queue downtown Moscow was so glad getting the coveted prize! We, in our Family, after eating those feline delicacies did not turn into the Cat People... but till up today, 40 years later on, I keep on wondering... probably, some people from this queue did. Did become the Cat People...🐸😹😺😸😻🐬🌻🌻🌻 P.S. Although, at nights, sometimes in my sleep I hear the cougar, panther's roaring in my ears... And I wake up with the scratches over my body... Did I?.. Am I?.. The inner guepard of mine is just waiting to liberate itself...

Dear Tiandra: I like Mark Twain very much... The literary works of this outstanding Writer. They influenced me very much. As much as Astrid Lindgren's literary creations. I think more and more about my time in India... And, Tiandra, I thought you cooked coconut oats cookies these ones, just of a couple of days ago... I thought they were with the coconut crumbs... In fact, I recollected the baking soda package... As the picture on it was very white too, as the coconut pulp. Ecoconomics of courteousness… or the coconut sunset …Fresh, young coconut abundant with its refreshing liquid, - isn’t it delicious, especially, in the warm evening of Goa’s December evening!... It is not the rarity to meet some reports in the media about the begging in India, -sometimes in certain areas… Not a hugely omnipresent topic, but still - quite known. But in my travelogue, I think about narrating the episode of the somewhat opposite nature: when I intended to make a little gesture of attention and it didn’t happen to come to fruition. …Sunset time of December 22nd was quite warm and pleasing in Margao. I was standing by the coconut vendors cart not far from my hotel and was rejoicing in sipping, gulping down from the green and russet spherical wonders of Mother Nature, commonly known as coconuts. Next day I was to depart for Delhi by the direct train. A little bit sad about departing from the Goa, but the sweet foreboding of the upcoming journey was outnumbering the pessimistic emotions in my mind. After all: “Hope to be here again and pretty soon!” - this attitude to the Margao hovered through my thoughts. I liked this place. Opposite the coconut cart, across the road, two little children, a boy and a girl, were squatting and looking at me… Apparently, they were quite curious about “this person standing about ten meters away and looking not very much like the local dweller. A tourist! With the beard!!! In the summer cap and with the coconut!..” Alas, it seemed that between us there was not a passable linguistical bridge or ford, or any other treadable ground and terra ferma. I didn’t speak Hindi, little angelic creatures most likely at this stage of theirs life were not really fluent in English, Russian, or any other foreign tongue. …But they really wanted to become friends, or, at least to strike the conversation: with smiles and friendly screams, gesticulating they were addressing my attention. …I smiled and giggled in my turn. They didn’t come to ask alms; but were trying to interlocute… for not being able to reciprocate and reply I felt awkward, nagging me with the thought of why didn’t I study Hindi! …Meanwhile, as the New 2016th Year was, figuratively speaking, parading around the corner, I thought, that if after finishing drinking my coconut, I would invite the boy and the girl to the cart and try to treat them with coconuts, - it would be appropriate. Making this little present; and for myself, - leave and let them partake in peace, without my presence. I felt, that remaining at the scene would be akin to self-gratification and conceit. Just saying “Happy New Year!” to the kids and leaving… “It’s appropriate and OK!” Most likely, coconut was not something very special, or exclusive to these children: from the upper floors of the hotel I could see, that the yards of the adjacent houses were in many instances quite full of and filled with the ready for sale coconuts. Possibly, these children lived in this area, in some of these abodes; though, they might have been from the other part of the city, simply taking a stroll here. And in any case why not to make a little souvenir: the New Year is to arrive in just a few days! …But as soon as I finished drinking my coconut, and was about to invite this couple, they (as if by a command) stood up and starting inching slowly and serenely away. Hugging each other, walking slightly swaying from side to side… “A very Mark Twainian scene,” - I pondered: the sunset, the warmth of the evening, the church nearby, the whole setting of the street, one of the kids reminding of Tom Soyer - almost like being in South of the US in the times of the Great Writer!.. …Possibly, these infantile non acquaintances of mine sensed, that I was about to try to make a little treat for them. But delicately hinted to me: “You know, Amigo, Happy New Year to you too! We live here and have a bounty of tropical fruits around. Why don’t you have a couple more coconuts?! In the cold of Russian winter there aren’t any delectable items like these. Just enjoy a bit more while here and now; and we are, - we are fine! Happy New Year again!” Seeing theirs silhouettes distancing more and more I felt vexed: why didn’t I try inviting them a minute, two, three minutes earlier… Why I was so pensively slow?! …This happening also gave over me the impression of politeness and delicate manners of these very young inhabitants of Margao: they seemed to be very courteous and attentive towards the guest of their city… Well, hopefully, sometime not in the too distant future I will be in Goa again and would get acquainted with these two explorers, we will find the coconut palm somewhere on the picturesque and serene beach of the Arabian sea and start treating each other generously with coconuts, climbing the palms in alternations. Competing for harvesting the most perfect and the best coconut! Extending those gifts to each other straight from the bosom of The Mother Nature, basking in the surf of the gilded Indian Ocean!!!
